Source Protection Zones

The Hydrogeological Group of The Geological Society are convening a meeting on Groundwater Source Protection Zones (SPZ). The meeting will consider the approach to SPZ delineation, application of policy in the zones, and their use in protecting the source including application to catchment management. Many disciplines in hydrogeology and beyond will find this meeting of interest and will include those involved in:
  • groundwater modeling,
  • groundwater quality and water resources management and operations for water,
  • spatial planning,
  • agricultural planning,
  • as well as general hydrogeology

Registration

Places are limited and you are strongly recommended to pre-register for this meeting. To register, please send an email entitled ‘SPZ meeting‘ to Mark Morton/Simon Bottrell with your:

(i) name,

(ii) affiliation,

(iii) Geol Soc membership number,

Registration closes 15 January 2010.

Registration costs: Members £25.00, Non-members £45.00, Students £10. Coffee, tea and biscuits and buffet lunch provided.
