This meeting reports on the progress of a Working Party set up by the Engineering Group to examine the use of geotechnical baseline reports in the UK.

The meeting will describe what a geotechnical baseline report is, why they are needed, how they are written and how they are used and effectively implemented. It will draw on limited experience in the UK to date and also from overseas. It will also address how a geotechnical baseline report can be integrated into the various standard forms of construction contract in use in the UK.

The event is open to all with an interest and admission is free. Refreshments will be served in the Lower Library from 17:00 and the meeting commences at 17:30.
