Many engineering projects, ranging from building construction, to quarrying and mining, often need to take careful consideration of hydrogeology in order to facilitate the development going ahead and to predict, and potentially mitigate, any potential environmental impacts.

Hydrogeologists and Engineering Geologist play a significant part in this process. In particular, they are central in determining the potential effects of groundwater, the investigation and assessment of groundwater and, potentially, the control of groundwater

The aim of this one day seminar is to cover topical and relevant issues that have to be considered by both hydrogeologists and engineering geologists.
