We are happy to announce that the Solent Regional Group has arranged its third field trip and will be held on Saturday 18 September at Hurst Spit which is located just south east of Milford-On-Sea in Hampshire.
The field trip will be led by Dr Ian West from the University of Southampton and will cover discussion on the origins and rebuilding of the 'Spit' , along with a visit to Hurst Castle to amongst other things examine the rock types used in its construction.
