Core Logging for the Purposes of Mine Working Identification

Organised by: Central Scotland Regional Group
Date: 1-8 September 2009
Event Type: Workshop
Venue: See listing for details

September’s CRSG event will be in the format of a workshop to be held by Findlay Black, an ex Coal Board mining engineer and now independent consultant with a vast wealth of knowledge and experience in the logging and identification of Coal Measures strata. Findlay has very kindly agreed to host a workshop to demonstrate core logging techniques and typical characteristics/key indicators to aid in the identification of Coal Measures strata.

The CSRG would like to extend our thanks to both organisations for their support in hosting the workshops. Numbers for each workshop will be limited to 15 people, so I urge anyone who is interesting in attending to please contact Alanna Malcolm at malcolma@rpsgroup.com as places will be on a ‘first come first served’ basis.
