The Carousel subsection includes people's job moves and honours; People features describe the working lives of our Fellows all over the world.
In memoriam - Obituaries
The section also carries death notices and calls for obituarists to come forward, as well as obituaries. You can read obituaries online here.
Personals
People also carries some small personal advertisements (Fellows wishing to find good homes for back issues of journals, for example) and carries a regular call for Fellows to deposit biographical information with the Society, for use in case of their death.
"Distant Thunder"
Much of the People section is not reproduced here in Geoscientist Online. However, occasional people features and other longer articles are to be found to the left, with the newest entries at the top. One regular in People however is the column Distant Thunder, which contains snippets of historical interest. This section can be found by clicking the link to the left.
