Rare book of the month club

In this section, introduced for April 2010, Library Assistant Michael McKimm (pictured) discusses a treasure of the Society's Rare Book Collection.

A special Rare Book of the Month column is published in Geoscientist to draw attention to the many varied items in the Society's historic collection. Many of the items mentioned are also in need of conservation, be it simple spine repair or special treatment to their pages.
