Room Hire

The Geological Society, situated in Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, offers a unique Central London venue for conferences, meetings and receptions in stately, elegant surroundings at highly competitive rates.

The original Burlington House was built around 1670 by Sir John Denham for Richard Boyle, lst Earl of Burlington. The building was purchased by the Government in 1854 as a home for The Royal Academy of Arts and the learned societies, including the Geological. The Society’s apartments were completed to the designs of Charles Barry and R.R. Banks between 1869 and 1873 in an unusual example of Victorian classical architecture.

Conference Facilities

Today, Burlington House is equipped with all the conveniences of a modern conference centre, including a fully air conditioned Lecture Theatre seating up to 172 delegates, equipped with all the latest audio-visual facilities. Three other meeting rooms are available for meetings, break-out groups or receptions. Room details are available online or via the conference office.

All our meeting rooms come equipped with Flip Charts, OHP's and screens as standard. An LCD projector is also availble for hire on request.
