Meeting Publications
Successful scientific meetings provide an excellent opportunity for publication of a timely overview of their subject matter, and convenors are encouraged to submit a proposal for a Special Publication of the Geological Society. The Science Committee will often be able to allocate some supporting funds to meetings that also plan to produce a publication. Where there is to be a publication from a meeting held at Burlington House, or supported financially by the Society, it is required that the Geological Society Publishing House, or a co-sponsoring learned society as appropriate, will be offered first refusal.
For full details of how to submit a publications proposal contact the Conference Office. However, if you let us know that you wish to produce a Special Publication, we will contact you about four months before the meeting. If you have any further queries, please contact the Society’s Commissioning Editor, Angharad Hills.
