An international conference to explore the relationship between the preserved strata of the rock record and the passage of time. Stratigraphy in practice can only be as good as the theory underpinning it: the scope of the conference will extend from the controls on preservation of strata in the record, through the qualitative and statistical properties of stratigraphic data, to the implications for analysis, interpretation, modelling and prediction.
Call for Papers
Contributions (oral or poster) are invited, around the following themes:
- Accumulation of the record: rates and gaps
- The biostratigraphic record: accumulation and quantification
- Subsurface data: information from wells and seismic
- The architecture of the record: statistical and modelling approaches
Abstracts of up to 250 words should be emailed to
