Global spend on metal exploration rocketed to $10 billion during 2007. The increasing demand for metals, reflecting the major hiatus in exploration in the late 90's through to 2002-3, is likely to see this figure increase even more over the next few years. Meeting this demand is going to require exploration in more parts of our planet and probing deeper crustal levels using progressively more refined and sophisticated science and technology. This return requires financial commitments from a range of sectors.
FINEX 2008 will provide a unique focus on both London as a major player in global mining finance and on the role of the United Kingdom and Eire on global mineral exploration and the technological developments that underpin exploration success. Papers will cover all elements of the exploration business including:
- Meeting starts 8.45 am
- Meeting finishes 17.00 pm
- Cocktail party 17.00 pm onwards
