Earth in our hands - how geoscientists serve and protect the public
This is a series of 12 A4 (colour) information notes produced during 2001-2, each highlighting the way geoscientists' work benefits society. They are of use to policy makers, journalists, teachers and students and are intended to highlight the importance of geoscientists in society. Each leaflet suggests a range of further reading and useful web sites.The list of titles is given below; click to print off a copy from each PDF file. Alternatively, requests for free paper copies should be sent to judi.lakin@geolsoc.org.uk but please note that we no longer have copies of titles 1, 4 and 11. No 12, Marine Aggregates, was in fact never printed and so only exists electronically. The rest are available free of charge (up to 10 copies). Larger orders attract a charge of £0.30 per extra copy, plus £3.00 to cover postage and packing.
