II The structure of Gower - five guided tours

Introduction

In this second part, the geology of the peninsula will be described in the manner of a field guide. Before setting out, however, you will be well advised to equip yourselves with the Ordnance Survey's Landranger series 1:50,000 map-sheet, number 159 Swansea & Gower. It will help you to find the smaller localities, and it is a mine of geological information, as we shall see.
