Endorsed Training Courses
The Geological Society Training Course Endorsement Scheme is a free service with benefits to both course providers and geoscientists. Applications are welcomed from the providers of short training courses (generally from a half to several full days in duration); seminars with multiple speakers; and workshops, amongst others. Please contact us if you are uncertain if your training offering is suitable for this scheme.
For course providers:
Please see the events calendar for information on dates, venues and fees for endorsed courses that are currently running.
The Endorsement scheme applies a 'light touch' to applications, and a decision is usually reached within a few weeks following the receipt of details. Endorsement is valid for 5 years, subject to receipt of satisfactory feedback from delegates.

For course providers:
- endorsement raises your profile and boosts recognition within the geoscience community.
- it advertises your event to Fellows and others who visit the Society's website, as well as the readership of Geoscientist magazine (circulation 10,000).
- the gathering together of approved courses provides choice and quality reassurance in one place
- a discount of 10% on the registration fee for Fellows is a condition of application
