Description:
|
This volume, the fourth in the series, covers the development of the study of geomorphology from 1890 to 1965. It is divided into five sections. After chapters dealing with geological controls, there are three sections dealing with process and form: fluvial, glacial and other process domains. The final section covers the mid-century revolutions, anticipating the onset of quantitative studies and dating techniques. It describes many of the developments that provide the foundation for the rich and varied subject matter of the science of geomorphology today.
