Geological Remote Sensing Group
The GRSG was founded in 1989 to foster awareness of remote sensing and related techniques in the geological and geophysical communities. It comprises a mixed membership from industry, government and academic organizations, providing a balanced scientific, technical and commercial forum for discussion and debate. Its aims are pursued by means of a regular newsletter, a Web Site, and by holding regular meetings in the UK and overseas.

CALL FOR PAPERS: 'Exploration Remote Sensing' - GRSG AGM 2009
The GRSG AGM 2009 will take place between the 15th and 17th December, 2009 at the Geological Society, Burlington House. The theme of this years conference is 'Exploration Remote Sensing' with papers being solicited on the use of remote sensing for resource and planetary exploration, emerging technologies and geological applications of Thermal Infrared (TIR) remote sensing. Issue 52 of the GRSG Newsletter is out now, which includes a variety of news items and articles written by two of the GRSG student award winners.
