The Petroleum Geology Conference series is a sequence of edited and peer-reviewed volumes arising from the prestigious London-hosted conferences. The series features papers, posters, animations and core photographs with commentary. The principal focus is on North-West Europe, but papers also detail many generic advances made in petroleum geology.
The first conference was held in 1974, and each event has been hailed as a significant milestone in the developing understanding of regional petroleum geology
The proceedings volumes can be purchased through the online bookshop and through the AAPG, online booksellers and the major library suppliers in North America. The most recent volumes can be inspected and purchased in the Burlington House Bookshop (within the Library).
PGC in the Lyell Collection
PGC Proceedings are included in the Lyell Collection, the Geological Society’s online collection of all key content published since 1845. The Collection features the Proceedings from the 4th conference onwards, with new volumes being posted slightly ahead of their print publication date. Papers will be posted ‘Online First’ as they are accepted for new Proceedings.
