As a Fellow you will join an international community of geoscientists, with more than 11,000 Fellows worldwide in over 80 countries, with 20% based outside the UK. Fellows cover the spectrum of geoscience professions, from industry and consultancy to education and the public sector. Fellows are entitled to the postnominal ‘FGS’ to mark their commitment to the highest standards of professional behaviour.

Geofacets-GSL Millennium Edition - for a small additional fee Fellows have the opportunity to gain exclusive individual access to over 24,000 geological maps from the Lyell Collection through the Geofacets platform. This innovative map-based research tool offers downloadable, geo-referenced maps, accompanied by metadata, article abstracts and read only PDFs from the original articles in the Lyell Collection.
Open Access Publishing - Fellows receive discounted rates for open access publishing in GSL journals.
