A meeting to mark the centenary of the reading of the Piltdown Man paper at the Geological Society on 18 December 1912.
On behalf of the Geological Society, the History of Geology Group and the Natural History Museum.
Programme
Morning:
- 10am -1:30pm:Tours of the Natural History Museum “Piltdown Centenary Exhibit” in the Rare Books Room.
- 12pm - 1pm: Group viewings of the Piltdown painting at the GSL.
Three tours will be held at 10am, 11:10am and 1220pm. They will be led by Karolyn Schindler and each tour will be restricted to a maximum number of 15 delegates. There will be a charge of £8.00 per person.
