The East Midlands Regional Group is hosting an evening talk at the BGS. The evening will include the Geological Walk that celebrates the diverse geology of Britain and Northern Ireland through a display of impressive boulder-scale specimens and natural stone paving.

 

The path sweeps from the main front car park to Reception, past five feature boulders representing the geology of Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland; as well as the three main rock types: igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic.

Time

Cheese & wine at 6.30pm, the walk starts at 7pm.

This is an outdoor event, so please bring waterproofs and appropriate footwear as necessary.
