EVENT CLOSED

This is the first lecture of the session, a joint event with the North Wales Geology Association.

Dr Ian Stimpson, Keele University will be discussing recent advances in mantle convection and the discovery of the most abundant mineral in the Earth, Bridgemanite. It should be noted that Bridgemanite has only been seen by a few geologists and has only just been synthetically created (hence been permitted a name) within the last year.

This will be a great lecture for those interested in plate tectonics!
