Speaker

Professor David Manning FGS CGeol, President of the Geological Society.

David Manning is Professor of Soil Science at the School of Engineering and Geosciences at Newcastle University. His current research is focused on how soils help to sustain human populations and includes work on carbon capture and building soil fertility. Previously he spent more than 30 years working nationally and internationally with extractive industries in connection with the production, processing and use of mineral raw materials.
