An illustrated lecture by Dr Colin Summerhayes FGS of the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge University.

Dr Summerhayes will describe what we can learn about historical climate change from the little-known geological record hidden in rock and ice cores, and examine what this information can tell us about what is happening to our climate now and what may happen in future. The lecture should be of interest to anyone interested in the vitally important topic of climate change, which can be expected to affect all our lives in the future.

Orgnanised jointly by The Geological Society of London (Northern Ireland Regional Group) and the Institute of Geologists of Ireland.
