Earth Science Week 2016 Events & Activities

Many thanks to everyone who participated in Earth Science Week 2016 (8-16 October)!

In 2016 we launched our new geology careers web pages, highlighting the range of careers available to geoscience graduates. With this in mind, the theme for 2016’s Earth Science Week was ‘Earth Science in Action', celebrating the work of geologists around the country and where it takes them.

Over 50 events took place across the UK and Ireland, in museums, libraries, schools, universities, geoparks and more. Events included urban geowalks, family activity days, talks, conservation days and fieldtrips.
