Announcements
Dear Members,
We are looking forward to the start of the new year which will kick off in August, with a talk on the 15th titled Scottish Legacies in Mineral Names. Look out on the events page and LinkedIn for more details on that in the near future.
The committee intends to continue the trend from last year in increasing the number of in-person and hybrid events, including potentially organising a field trip to Loch Lomond. As more details of our prospectus of events for 2023/2024 become available, we will update this page with a rough timetable. The events page has a list of upcoming events and is always well worth a check to find out what is planned. Also, keep an eye on our usual channels of communication such as our email list and LinkedIn for details of specific talks which will be advertised month by month.
We have had a number of changes on the committee this year. We'd like to thank Eilidh, Catherine, Stephen, Darren and Craig who are stepping down after a while spent serving on the committee. We'd also like to welcome Ester Parras, Grace Convery, and Nicola Dakin who are joining the committee, with Grace and Ester picking up the roles of Secretary and Treasurer.
