Seminar

This seminar will focus on practical and informative methods of obtaining funds and writing grants for working with geological collections in various different ways. 

Speakers include:

  • Nick Poole from the Collections Trust;
  • Clare Brown, Leeds Museum;
  • Jonathan Larwood, Natural England;
  • Mike Howe, British Geological Survey, Keyworth;
  • Luanne Meehitiya, Birmingham Museums Trust;
  • Matthew Parkes, National Museum Ireland;
  • and Jon Clatworthy, Lapworth Museum.

AGM

The 41st AGM of the Geological Curators' Group will be held at 4:15.

The Group will be celebrating 40 years of GCG with an evening meal in Birmingham.

3 December 2014

An additional day of talks and tours has been arranged in Dudley Museum, hosted by Graham Worton.

This will include a chance to look round the museum, a canal boat trip underground into the Limestone Caverns, and weather permitting, a trip out to the Wren’s Nest.
