Field Observation and Geomorphological Mapping

This week-long field course provides professional training in field observation, geomorphological mapping and dGPS surveying skills. Participants will be challenged to conduct their own observations, mapping and surveying, as well as participate in group discussion. Based at field sites on the Isle of Wight and Dorset coast, the course will provide hands-on practical experience of geomorphological field mapping and surveying methods, and provide an opportunity to meet local practitioners and stakeholders. Assessment will be based on field maps, data and a short field report. Departs from University of Sussex, transport and accommodation provided.
