A poem by Peter Redgrove

Penelope Shuttle, one of our guest poets, has kindly given us permission to reproduce a poem by her late husband Peter Redgrove. Redgrove (1932 - 2003) was the author of over forty volumes of poetry as well as many novels, plays and non-fiction books. Collected Poems was published by Cape Poetry in 2012. This poem is taken from his collection Dressed as a Tarot Pack (Taxus, 1990).
