Affinity Water is looking for a Senior Hydrogeologist / Hydrologist to join their Water Resources and Hydrogeology team.
The Senior Hydrogeologist / Hydrologist will undertake environmental monitoring, analysis, interpretation and reporting to support Affinity Water's Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP) obligations and a variety of regulatory and operational needs. This role will involve working closely with Affinity Water's Quality, Asset Planning, Capital Delivery and Customer Delivery teams and provide support to more junior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support on hydrological and hydrogeological matters
- Represent Affinity Water externally which will include giving public presentations, communicating with our regulators and other key stakeholders
- Project manage a number of WINEP investigations and options appraisals including internal project delivery and supervision of consultants
- Support development of our team of Asset Scientists and provide some line management support
- Support to the Water Resources & Environment team including input to planning application assessments, Drought Management Plan & Water Resources Management Plan
- Regulatory reporting under the WINEP and regular review meetings with the Environment Agency
