The Geological Society of London is the UK's national society for geoscience, providing support to over 12,000 members in the UK and overseas. Founded in 1807, we are the oldest geological society in the world.
Recent exploration campaigns both on and offshore East Africa have discovered a tremendous resource, which has propelled the region from being one of possibilities to one with commercial opportunities of significant scale. These discoveries are set to make East Africa a major energy resource player in the 21st Century, yet many challenges remain.
The meeting will bring together experts from industry and academia to present the latest data and research with submissions already received from Anadarko, BG Group, BP, Genel, ION, Total, Tullow, Schlumberger, Halliburton, with numerous Universities, Consultancies and Government Agencies.
In addition to the oral and poster programme, a core exhibition showcasing a variety of East Africa reservoirs will be held in parallel with the technical sessions.
There will be a conference dinner at the Cavendish Hotel, Jermyn Street for a maximum of 70 guests taking place on the evening of Thursday 14 April. Places at the dinner will be allocated on a strictly first come first served basis and we regret we will not be able to offer places to non registered attendees.
Corporate Affiliates and GSL Associated Societies can register at a reduced fee.
The Petroleum Group is able to offer a discount on conference registration fees for unemployed members.
