Students and staff from Newcastle University Geoscience department will be giving families the chance to get their hands dirty with some hands on earth science.
Come along as we delve back into geological time looking at Earth changing events, taking cores in our Mud Time Machine and finding out how drilling cores in our oceans can let us look back in time. We will get close and take a look at the microbes which live in modern day, local mud and find out how we might get energy from mud from our fracking expert.
